Job Description:

We are an exciting and dynamic Claims Management Company with a long-standing reputation as a market leader. This role is to join our expanding claims processing team.

The main purpose of the role:

The role of the Claims Administrator is to support the Claims Writing Team in driving the progression of our client’s financial misselling claims from the initial phase through to the final decision stages and to provide all necessary parties with relevant information to progress each customer’s claim to completion.

This is done through a combination of administrative functions, along with inbound and outbound customer and business contact. All administration must be thorough and effective, with the successful applicant showing a high level of understanding of the business and supporting the Claims Investigators in an efficient and proactive manner.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Customer and business communication by telephone and email
  • Data Entry
  • Processing applications.
  • General administration tasks such as handling post.
  • Scanning and photocopying.
  • Processing data and evidence from clients and other sources.
  • Following Data Protection guidelines and other compliance policies

Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have a strong personality and be confident working in a team or as an individual.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • High levels of accuracy and great attention to detail.
  • Microsoft Office skills.
  • Good levels of numeracy.
  • Must be able to work to targets effectively
  • Previous experience or an understanding of the financial services industry is preferred but not essential.
  • Previous claims admin experience is preferred but not essential.

The main purpose of the role:

You will handle client enquiries and prospective claims objectively, fairly and in accordance with our company policies, procedures, timescales and directives, and in accordance with the rules, principles and timescales laid down by the relevant regulators.

You’ll undertake case checking and quality assurance tasks in accordance with company policies, procedures, timescales and directives and those as laid down by the relevant regulators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling inbound calls from customers and potential customers, taking them through the range of services we offer and answering any questions they may have.
  • Making outbound calls to update customers and request any additional information that may be required to progress their claim.
  • Selling the service benefits and gaining customer commitment.
  • Understanding our portfolio and have the ability to discuss any other potential claim.
  • Investigate, review and respond to all queries relating to failed property investments or advice.
  • Retain copies of all documents relating to any customer cases dealt with and ensure these are held securely and confidentially
  • Ensure accurate records of all customer communications are maintained and available at all times.

Skills and Experience:

  • You will need to have excellent time management skills
  • Be decisive and articulate in your decision making
  • Be comfortable working from your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Have excellent communication skills, both on the telephone and face to face with a customer
  • Take pride in your work and want to not only meet targets but surpass them
  • You must also be computer literate and competent with all MS Office packages.

You will play a leading role in providing analysis, review and the construction of consumer claims on behalf of our customers. You will prepare and write claims for cases to be submitted to our legal partners and directly to financial advisors/networks, the Financial Services Compensation Scheme and the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, analyse and evaluate all information and evidence relevant to consumer claims.
  • Develop a clear theory and strategy for the foundation of each individual claim.
  • Ensure assigned claims are constructed and submitted in a timely manner meeting all legal, regulatory and internal deadlines.
  • Take ownership of after submission queries and appeals.
  • Build rapport with clients and ensure they receive regular updates.
  • Work with other departments and management to ensure best practice and process improvements.
  • Provide business development ideas.

  • You must have a strong personality and be confident communicating with clients.
  • Analytical mind.
  • Must be proactive and be able to think laterally.
  • Must be able to work alone as well as part of a team
